The history of the company Plastikor Europe (Plastikor Netherland)
Plastikor, established in 1977, was a small family business centered in the Netherlands. The business name is derived from the word plastic industry (Plasti), the main raw material of the company and the surname of the founder Huib Korthof (kor). Through the years, Plastikor has grown to a real market leader in plastics such as plastic covers, ring binders and diploma folders. Since 2009, Plastikor founded next to its Dutch sales office and production a second office and production facility: Plastikor Deutschland GmbH in Germany, Bad Bentheim.
1977
H.Korthof founded the Dutch Head office named: Plastikor Netherland b.v.
2007
Plastikor Group takes over the Dutch company Lozesca (Geldermalsen)
2008
Plastikor Group takes over the Dutch company P.V.I. Nederland b.v.
2009
Plastikor Netherland b.v. founded the German sales office: Plastikor Deutschland GmbH.
2011
Thanks to a new building Plastikor was extended. The storage capacity increased to 1,750 pallet spaces, the office spaces cover an area of 400 sq m, the production spaces cover an area of 600 sq m and the total terrain space is 11.000 sq m.
Plastikor extended its machinery with 3 rotary tables, 4-, 6- and 8 pieces.
Plastikor extended its machinery with a fully automatic machine for manufacturing ring binders. The speed goes up to 600 ring binders per hour!
2013
To conquer the international market, Plastikor officially opens a new online webshop in German.
2014
Plastikor takes over the machinery of DecoGanda/Gandaplast located in Belgium.
Plastikor takes over the machinery of One-Stop located in the Netherlands
2015
Plastikor takes over the machinery of printing office Soenen (original name: drukkerij Soenen) located in Belgium.
2016
Plastikor invested in three completely new machines for the production of ring binders. These investments support Plastikor with the future and continuous production of PVC ring binders.
Plastikor introduces his first new colour printer which results in its own print shop. Henceforward, Plastikor is not depending on external print shops anymore. This results in even faster production and lead-time of products. In addition, Plastikor is able to print high-quality prints containing many different colours even on one single binder.
2017
Plastikor expends its printing shop with an additional printing machine.
2018
Plastikor Group takes over the company Glasius located in the Netherlands.
2019
Plastikor Group takes over the company Kupack Products located in the Netherlands.
Plastikor bought a new offset print machine.
2020
Plastikor bought a new offset print machine.
2021
Plastikor bought a new digital print machine.
2022
Plastikor bought a new HF welding machine.
Plastikor expands its in-house pressroom by 150 square meters.
